Step 1: Start the Process
- From the homepage, click on Start Shopping to proceed.
Step 2: Sign Up or Log In
- If you're not signed in, you'll be prompted to either log in or sign up. Follow the link to sign up if you don't have an account.
Step 3: Register Your Account
On the registration page, enter your email and create a password.
A verification email will be sent to you. Please check your inbox and follow the instructions to verify your email.
Step 4: Connect to Your Account
- Once verified, navigate to the My Account section on IMPT Shop.
Step 5: Connect Your Wallet
In the My Account section, click on Connect Wallet.
A list of wallet providers will appear. Choose MetaMask, or another provider if you prefer.
Step 6: Install MetaMask (if needed)
- Ensure the MetaMask extension is installed in your browser. You can download it from the MetaMask website.
Step 7: Authorise and Connect
- MetaMask will ask you to log in and authorise the connection. Approve it to link your wallet to your IMPT account.
Congratulations! Your wallet is now connected, and you can start enjoying the IMPT platform fully.

Retiring carbon credits on the IMPT platform is simple and impactful. Follow these steps to reduce your carbon footprint:
Step 1: Log in to Your IMPT Account
Visit the IMPT website.
Click on the Start Shopping button, or directly visit the IMPT Platform Shop.
On the shopping page, select Login or Sign Up.
Enter your email and password to log in.
Tip: If you don't have an account, choose Sign Up and complete the registration.
Step 2: Navigate to the Carbon Credit Section
After logging in, click on Browse Projects.
Explore the available carbon credits, categorised by project types like renewable energy and reforestation.
Step 3: Select the Credits You Want to Retire
Browse through the list of carbon credits.
Click on the specific carbon credit you want to retire.
Pro Tip: Review details such as the project's impact and verification information before making a selection.
Step 4: Add Credits to Your Cart
Choose the number of credits you wish to retire.
Add these credits to your cart.
Step 5: Proceed to Checkout
Review your cart to ensure everything is correct.
Click Checkout to proceed.
Note: Payment by credit card is currently unavailable. Make sure you understand the transaction details before proceeding.
Step 6: Confirm Retirement
After confirming the purchase, the system will handle the retirement process on-chain, ensuring the credits are permanently removed from circulation.
You'll receive a confirmation email, but the official retirement certificate will be sent to your email within 45 days.
Step 7: Track Your Impact
After retirement, you can monitor your impact by visiting the Carbon Offset History section in your account.
You'll also receive a retirement certificate for your records within 45 days.
Retiring carbon credits on the IMPT platform with Web3 integration is straightforward. Follow these steps to make a positive environmental impact:

Visit the IMPT website.
Click on Start Shopping to go to the IMPT Platform Shop.

Step 3: Enable Web3
Ensure that Web3 is enabled by turning on the Enable Web3 button at the top of the Browse Projects page.
(You can access it directly via this link.)If your wallet is already connected, you're all set.
Tip: If your wallet isn't connected, follow the on-screen prompts to link it.
Step 4: Select the Credits You Want to Retire
Browse the available carbon credits.
Click on the specific credit you wish to retire to see detailed information, including the project's impact and verification credentials.
Step 5: Add Credits to Your Cart
Choose the quantity of credits you want to retire.
Add these credits to your cart.
Step 6: Complete Checkout
Review your cart to ensure everything is correct.
Proceed to checkout and complete your payment.
Note: Payment on Web3 is done using IMPT rewards. Make sure you have enough ETH (Ethereum) in your wallet for gas fees before proceeding.
Step 7: Confirm Credit Retirement
After payment, confirm your purchase.
Select the option to retire the carbon credits.
Note: Carbon credits that are purchased but not yet retired will appear as x1 in your account view until you choose to retire them.
Step 8: Track Your Environmental Impact
- After retiring the credits, you can monitor your environmental impact through the Carbon Offset History section in your account.
Cryptocurrency facilitates transactions and transparency within the IMPT ecosystem, allowing for seamless conversion and use of IMPT tokens and rewards.
Even if you're not familiar with cryptocurrency, there's no need to worry. The platform automates all necessary processes, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience. You can enjoy the benefits of the IMPT ecosystem without needing any prior knowledge of cryptocurrency.

Offsetting carbon emissions helps balance out the amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere. By investing in projects that reduce or remove greenhouse gases, like reforestation or renewable energy, we can mitigate the impacts of climate change. Offsetting 1 tonne of CO2 can be equivalent to preventing the emissions from driving a car for about 2,500 miles

● Yield Farming: Users can stake IMPT tokens in a yield farm to earn a defined percentage return and ongoing platform rewards.
● Secondary Market Trading: Tokenised carbon credits can be bought and sold on a secondary market using IMPT tokens exclusively.
IMPT tokens can be used for several purposes:
● Payments within the IMPT.io carbon marketplace.
● Unlocking advanced features and premium services, such as trading opportunities and special series of NFT collectibles.
● Receiving discounts on fees when shopping on the platform.
Several proposals aim to enhance the IMPT token's utility:
● Reward System Enhancement: Implementing a "Buy Back" mechanism where rewards collected by users are used to purchase IMPT tokens, creating buy pressure and increasing token utilisation.
● Carbon Credit Retirement Service: Allowing fiat payments for carbon credit retirement while using IMPT tokens for backend processes to ensure token utility and recoup network fees.
● Soulbound/Membership Token Subscription: Introducing a subscription model paid with IMPT tokens, providing ongoing utility and benefits to users who maintain their subscription.
The IMPT platform incorporates gamification by rewarding users with badges and achievements for retiring carbon credits. Users earn points and collect gamified badges, which quantify their climate impact and provide a fun, engaging way to contribute to environmental sustainability.
Future utilities for IMPT tokens include:
● Advertising: Retailers and brands will be able to use IMPT tokens to pay for advertising on the IMPT platform, gaining exposure to a wider audience. This feature is expected to roll out in Q2 2024.
● Direct Web or App Advertising: Even non-retail businesses can use IMPT tokens for banner or video ads on the platform, broadening the token's use cases beyond retail.
IMPT token burning events are scheduled to occur on a monthly basis. This systematic reduction in token supply supports the token's value and aligns with the platform's environmental goals.
IMPT ensures transparency and authenticity by using an off-stack service that registers the retirement of carbon credits with a governing body that manages emission offsets. Users receive certificates of retirement and tracking of their carbon credit retirements against their accounts.
